			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://www.newmillsafc.co.uk">New Mills Amateur Football Club</a> (NMAFC), otherwise known as The Millers, has played a prominent part in the development of football in the High Peak since it was formed in 1886. The grounds are situated on Church Lane, opposite St. George&#8217;s Church and are regarded as being among the most picturesque in the North West Counties League. The grounds cover three and a half acres and provides parking for 150 cars and 8 coaches.</p>
<p>The pitch is fully enclosed and has a covered stand for 200 seated spectators plus 300 standing. A clubhouse with a membership of over 200 is open 7 days a week and the room is also available for hire with a capacity of around 90.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On my journey from Stockport to New Mills, I encountered three (yes 3) sets of temporary traffic lights. There was one set on the approach to the Romiley turns off, and then two sets on Strines Road itself. This is causing carnage! You might think that using the A6 instead would be a good alternative, but there are traffic lights there too, near the Purple Pakora (next to the petrol station).</p>

<p>Coming down Market Street towards the village, you might be better off turning left down Torr Top Street by the new Sainsburys to get onto Union Road there. Doing so will cut out the lights altogether.</p>
