On my journey from Stockport to New Mills, I encountered three (yes 3) sets of temporary traffic lights. There was one set on the approach to the Romiley turns off, and then two sets on Strines Road itself. This is causing carnage! You might think that using the A6 instead would be a good alternative, but there are traffic lights there too, near the Purple Pakora (next to the petrol station).
